Each full mean has a different meaning to pagans. There is a certain type of energy that is projected from every full moon. The full moon in May is no exception. It is known as the Dyad moon.

The Dyad moon signifies the marriage of the Lord and Lady. They twirl in perfect synchronization during the powerful full moon. The energy given off is passionate and and a dance of ecstasy, fertilizing everything on the Earth. The trees and plants flourish and the flowers burst into full bloom. The wind and rain of April now give way to the warm sunshine in May. The world is fertile and glowing.

The Dyad moon provides an environment that is perfect for all sorts of creative endeavors. If you have started projects, they will easily be completed during this time. Any new ideas will come together quite easily. Even the impossible seems well within reach during the Dyad moon. It is also an excellent time to work magic in the areas of matters of the heart, fertility, passion, physical stamina, energy, health, friendship, prosperity, and completion.

For your altar covering you can use a lace tablecloth and decorate with wedding items. Use fresh flowers tied in bunches with brightly colored ribbons. And, dress yourself in bright colors. Gold and silver candles should be used and burn a floral incense.

Cast your circle with a bunch of fresh flowers tied into a bouquet. Use brightly colored ribbons to decorate them. After the ritual, toss it like a wedding bouquet toss. Serve white cake and mimosas, or sparkling water, if you so choose.

During the Dyad moon celebrate the workings of friendships, partnerships, and intimate relationships. Ask each participant to bring snippets from their gardens for decoration. Make baskets of fresh flowers, seed packages, and candles wrapped in ribbons.

Remember this is a time of potency and fertilization. Use this energy to start new projects and finish the old. And, whatever you do, have fun!

Nicely done. What do you know about the astronomical phenomenon known as the blue moon? I know what it is, but can't find anything else, even on the web. I know that November 1955 was the month of the blue moon, and it happened again in November 42 years later. Anything you have on it would be helpful.

Yes, there is a moon each month. And one extra one. There are 13 full moons each year. They occur every 4 weeks. So, it's not a set calendar day each month. There are site on the internet that will tell you. I have an application on my phone that tells me.
